Continuing our Back to Basics Series, we look at the basic survival kit. As so much of our preparedness relies on having the right gear, we should look at what constitutes a basic survival kit. The reason I call this, "basic," is because the items in it our for general survival situation. It doesn't make any pretense for what the disaster or event will be, and thus needs to provide you with the basics that would be needed in order to get through most events.
