Eric Detweiler is an associate professor in the Department of English at Middle Tennessee State University, where he also directs the Public Writing and Rhetoric program. His book Responsible Pedagogy: Moving Beyond Authority and Mastery in Higher Education was published by Penn State University Press in 2022. His work has also appeared inRhetoric Review, Pedagogy, Tuning in to Soundwriting, and Rhetoric Society Quarterly, and he runs a podcast about rhetoric called Rhetoricity. In addition to rhetoric and writing pedagogy, he researches and teaches classes on public writing, podcasting, video games, and the history and theory of rhetoric.
