Richard Capriola has been a mental health and addictions counselor for over two decades. He has treated both adults and adolescents diagnosed with mental health and substance abuse disorders. He recently retired from Menninger Clinic in Houston where for over a decade he worked with both adolescents and adults.

He has turned his passion on adolescent substance abuse and has written a book The Addicted Child: A Parent's Guide to Adolescent Substance Abuse.
