The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed and exacerbated educational inequality in the United States. Today, BhD tackles this issue by interviewing, Keara Williams, a South L.A. high school teacher who made national headlines for going above and beyond to keep all of her students academically engaged during the pandemic. During the episode, we have a conversation about her motivation for becoming a teacher (32:10), her life as a Black educator in South LA (34:26), and the importance of Black educators in the field (36:15).
