It’s time for the final part of our year-end roundup and for us to look back on 2023 with some openness, vulnerability, and honesty. Yeah… this one was a bit of therapy for us. In this episode, we talk candidly about how we’ve grown as a podcast and as people over the last three years but acknowledge that this past year was filled with some major changes and challenges. With the pandemic in the rear-view and life seemingly more normal, we had some real-life stuff to tackle. So, before we dive right into 2024 with a hopeful spirit, join us as we look back on one heck of a year. It’s the 2023 Lazy Bird Report.
This week, we share our wings (highs), cages (lows), and eggs (hopes) for 2024. Last year was a challenging year for many reasons. From returning to normalcy to regaining our creativity and our passions to making a conscious effort at changing our lives for the better to dealing with major mental and physical health problems to feeling lonely and isolated to being proud of all we accomplished… we’ve done it all. It was a year of consistent growth, challenge, and change. But smooth seas never made skilled sailors. We’re proud of each other and everything we’ve done with the podcast and in our personal lives. It was all about consistency and willingness to evolve. As PALMREADER says, “Growing up is glowing up.”
We’re going to keep it short and sweet here, much like this week’s episode, but we wanted to say a sincere thank you to everyone who has rocked with us individually as creatives and as a duo here on the pod. Thanks to all the guests who joined us and everyone who pressed play. Thank you for your patience as we dealt with the various challenges we've faced throughout the year. We’re truly excited for 2024 and can’t wait to get it started next week with a BIRD PROTOCOL first - the “John Wick” watch-along. Get ready, friends.
