Episode 124 - Beth Siemer.
Dan Sterenchuk and Tommy Estlund are honored to have as our guest, Beth Siemer.
Beth's bio:
"My core personal values are to LOVE God and LOVE people. My core political values are the pursuit of a More Perfect Union with Liberty and Justice for All. Pretty much everything I do is driven by these core values, including my current engagement in dialogue on Facebook. I’m a truth-seeker by nature, which drives me to dig deep in understanding what it looks like to pursue these values. Part of digging deep for me includes continually pressure-testing my thoughts with other people and course-correcting in my own understanding where needed. I’m also an advocate by nature and assume most people generally share these core values and also want to align with them, which drives me to share my thoughts to the extent it’s helpful to others.
In my professional life, my career has taken turns as I try to do the next best thing in front of me. Currently, I’m a corporate transactional attorney in the specialty pharmacy space.
In my outside-of-work life, I have two teenage daughters who are ridiculously incredible and interesting humans—I’m thrilled that I get to have a front row seat in their lives. My husband, Rob, and I have been married for 22 years and we make our home in St. Louis, Missouri. I was raised in the evangelical church, but would call myself a “deconstructing Christian” if I had to call myself something. I believe in God, love the heck out of Jesus and do my best to live my life by His example, but cannot for the life of me figure out what to do with the organized church. In my muchness, I insist on squeezing everything out of every minute I get on this earth, and particularly love laughing, making others laugh, traveling, baking, cooking, eating, drinking, throwing awesome parties, walking, listening to music (which includes pretending my singing voice and dance moves are better than they are), completing projects, watching TV and movies, gardening (poorly), connecting with folks, teaching others new things, learning new things, getting alone time, and riding roller coasters.
