• ongoing problems homeschool graduates face when applying to police or fire academies because California law often requires diplomas from accredited schools

He argues that many homeschool students are fully qualified but get blocked by outdated rules. He also briefly mentions concern over a California kindergarten bill that would limit some parents’ ability to delay institutional schooling.
