It’s Episode 125 of Baltimore County Forever Podcast. We have a returning guest: Lauren from shxt_vegans_eat. This week’s episode starts with our updates on quarantine living, the Tik Tok craze and how much we just can’t relate, and the recent Versus battles on IG live. This week’s playlist is based on the Scott Storch v. Mannie Fresh IG battle and we look at some of their songs that weren’t played.
On this week’s playlist, we have songs like “#1 Stunna” by the Big Tymers. With this song being featured on the soundtrack for “Kings of Comedy,” Lauren tells me if features on movie soundtracks have the same value that they had in the 90s and early 2000s.
We also have “Cash Money is the Army” by BG on the list. Seeing as though BG was the first star of Cash Money, but then outshined by Juvie partially due to BG’s jail sentence, Lauren and I talk about similar situations on other labels like Jay Rock and Kendrick on TDE.
“Love in the 90z” by Mack Wildz is also on the playlist and we talk about this song being an ode to 90s R&B. Lauren gives me her interpretation of the phrase “If it ain’t like 90s R&B, I don’t want it.” Considering Mack started out as an actor, we also talk about actors turned artists and some success stories.
