Agalia Baker is the author of the upcoming book: If Cancer is a Gift, Can I Return It? From Grief to Healing. The book will release in early 2024.

Agalia is a retired advanced practice nurse with 40 plus years of experience. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer, she quickly learned that even though she was thoroughly familiar with the cancer treatment process, she was totally unprepared to deal with cancer as a patient.

After her diagnosis, she searched for a resource that would provide information, especially for the emotional turmoil she was experiencing. When she couldn't, a seed was planted, and years later, she was inspired to write the book. She provides not only the medical perspective of what is happening, she also weaves in her own experience. Some big aha's what are things you can say as someone who is supporting your loved one through the experience and gaining insight into the "actions" that you see and feel as a caregiver.

Her goal is to both release the book, and become a speaker to educate the medical profession as well.
