Listen Later

Get ready to take notes! Dr. Jessica Eastman is in the house discussing all things mental wellness.

Dr. Jessica Eastman is a licensed and registered Naturopathic Doctor in clinical practice in Vancouver, BC. Her practice is trauma-informed, which we discuss in this episode,  and focused on supporting people who want to feel better, get unstuck, and optimize their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

She works frequently with mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, PTSD and cPTSD, disordered eating, and mood disorders, as well as brain health and cognitive function, fatigue, skin health, weight loss, athletic performance, immune system dysfunction and digestive difficulties.

Jessica's focus on integrative medicine and community support really resonated with us.

In this episode, we discuss a variety of topics related to mental health including her own mental health journey, why critical thinking is vital for our wellbeing in a world full of (mis)information, what it means to work from a trauma-informed lens, common themes she has seen in her patient's health this last year and some really practical tools that you can use to help manage your own health right now.
