Episode 13 - Finding Yourself & Raising Teens (with Mummaste's Emma Lagerlow)

Listen Later

While I don't have teens yet, I hear it can be tough! ...and if you are too busy to look after your health and stuck on autopilot - it is only going to get a lot tougher!  So many mums that enter the teenager years of parenting also enter the emotional rollercoaster of perimenopause - the perfect storm.  They've spent a lifetime of putting everyone else's needs first which can lead to impatience, reacting rather than responding and often switch from passive to passive-aggressive behaviour.  This can have a major impact on the home environment and our children's reactions to us and this then leads to guilt.

In today's podcast I chat with Life Coach and creator of the blog "Mummaste", Emma Lagerlow, a mum of four (almost all) teenagers.  Emma's blog Mummaste supports mums who are raising teens and helps them to overcome overwhelm and reclaim their sense of self through well-being, connection and finding purpose.   She is passionate about self-care for mums to help fill their self-love cup so they have more love to pour into everyone around them.

Join Emma and I as we chat about some of the changes she has implemented to create a better home environment and happier teens as well as improve her mind, body and health.  Emma also discusses her upcoming masterclass for mums and coaching she offers.
