A friend of ours Jose Luis recounts his journey from being a high schooler in Peru to suddenly being told by his family "we are moving to Canada".  He recalls his early resistance and how he finally decided to make the move for good in the wake of a shocking attempted mugging in Lima that pushed him leave Peru for good.  This is part of our new series which focuses on immigrant stories.
