This week, MJ and Sarah leave the beaches of Amity for a terse town hall meeting discussing the reward on the shark's head placed by Alex Kitner and the prospect of closing the beaches. While a lot is happening on the surface of this scene to begin with, the duo find much more happening underneath the surface as they discover the thematic thrust of the scene potentially being the five stages of grief as well as the undeniable fact that Jaws is a time travel movie!
