In the second installment of our “Hot Topics” feature, we first talk briefly about a significant health concern in Canada, and that is the current ongoing Opioid crisis. We then continue the discussion by highlighting the amazing work of an Edmonton pharmacist who saved the life of a man who was experiencing an overdose. The life-saving medication used in that event was Naloxone, which we talk about more in our “Drug of the Week” segment!
