Maggie and Nelly confront Nelly’s mother after seeing her for the last time in the sanctuary of Cane Creek Baptist where her eyes went wild with the fervor of Reverend Hensley. Nelly discovers a part of herself by necessity and her life will never be the same from that moment forward.
