Episode 13: SAW (2004), SPIRAL (2021), and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)
So we SAW (π) Spiral (2021) in theaters, which prompted us to go back and watch the original Saw (2004) and now we are pretty much hooked on the franchise, so we thought it was a no-brainer to talk about these two films for this episode!
Spiral stars Chris Rock, Sam L. Jackson, and That Guy From Handmaid's Tale. It's a nice, fun update/side story in the franchise with some decent traps. I think the original Saw probably needs no introduction; It's great!
During the recording of this episode we came to the realization that Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971) starring Gene Wilder is 100% a Saw film. I mean think about it... all those kids were having their morality put to the test, and they definitely all died right?? Anyways listen to the episode for more on that.
