Dolls are strange. They look human, but aren't human. We play with them as children and tell them our darkest secrets, projecting our human needs and feelings onto them. They quickly earn an intimate place in our lives. So often, they take on a life of their own—at least in our imagination. So often though does the line between plaything and something else become dangerously blurred—snuggling in close before infecting our lives with darkness.
