The UIL’s biennial realignment takes place on Thursday and the Star Local Media sports staff previews the event with some predictions on where our local high schools could be headed.

The discussion kicks off with a look at Class 5A and the upcoming Division I-II split for football, and how that will affect realignment for Frisco ISD (2:25), as well as Mesquite ISD’s two 5A-Div. I schools Poteet and West Mesquite (6:30), and where a couple of the floater schools in Div. II like Lake Dallas and Lovejoy could be headed (9:40).

Talk then shifts to Class 6A and the realignment possibilities for Lewisville ISD and Coppell (16:10), the possibility of Prosper joining the Plano, Allen and McKinney district (22:00), plus the potential for any shake-up to the Garland ISD (29:40) or Mesquite ISD districts (33:45).
