In this episode of the Hey Eddy Podcast, we learn about Jesus walking on water from Mark 6:45-56. After feeding the five thousand, Jesus sends his disciples across the lake while he goes up on a mountain to pray. The disciples struggle all night rowing against a fierce wind, making no progress—exhausted and stuck in the dark. But Jesus sees them struggling, and he walks right across the water to help them. The terrified disciples think he’s a ghost, but Jesus says, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” The moment Jesus climbs into the boat, the wind stops completely. The main lesson is that Jesus sees you when you’re struggling—even in the dark, even when you feel stuck—and he comes to help, so don’t be afraid.
