When Income Support cut them off and they ended up outside, I had to do something I’ve never done in over 35 years of advocacy, I called Children’s Services to report a child in danger. I explain what led up to that moment, how the system failed them, and what happened next. It’s not a simple story, but it’s one we need to talk about.
