People often say, “Jesus would…” and then fill in the blank with their opinion.
Across politics, cultures, and denominations, people confidently claim that Jesus supports their position. But how do we know we’re not simply projecting our own preferences onto Him?
In Episode 13 of the #WWJD series, we explore a crucial question:
How do we actually discern what Jesus would do today?
Because not every issue we face today appears directly in the Gospels. Culture is complex, situations are layered, and if we’re not careful, we can begin reshaping Jesus into our own image instead of allowing Him to reshape us.
In this episode we examine several biblical principles for discernment:
• Start with Scripture, not assumption
• Examine the motives of our own hearts
• Hold grace and truth together
• Consider the fruit our responses produce
• Stay anchored in prayer and humility
Discernment requires more than strong opinions.
It requires Scripture, self-examination, wisdom, and a heart aligned with Christ.
Because the goal of asking “What Would Jesus Do?” was never to win arguments — it was to know Jesus deeply enough that our lives begin to reflect His character.
As this episode concludes the #WWJD series, we’re left with an important reflection:
When we say “Jesus would…”, is it rooted in Scripture, shaped by prayer, and aligned with His heart?
Or are we sometimes attaching His name to our instincts?
Listen as we explore how discernment protects us from distortion and helps us remain anchored to the true heart of Christ.
