One thing you notice when reading through the Bible, and you get to the books of 1 & 2 Chronicles is that is repeats much of what is already recorded in 1 & 2 Samuel and 1 & 2 Kings. Sometimes, it repeats narratives word for word, sometimes, though, the books of Chronicles add or omit details of the books of Samuel and Kings.
