What up doe!!
Welcome back to Baltimore County Forever Podcast! This is episode 131 and we have Norm and Aleem joining me this week. We start this episode off with COVID updates of course, including Jamaica’s latest reported case counts, Norm’s newly released album and the overwhelming support it has been getting, and Aleem gives us a history lesson on Michael Jackson’s music catalog and publishing purchases.
Then we jump into this week’s playlist. “Please Don’t Mind” by Philly’s Most Wanted appears, and we talk about Bonic’s current day talents as a painter. Norm tells me how he would contribute to the culture if he wasn’t making music.
Outkast’s “Art of Storytelling Pt. 4” is also on this week’s playlist and we discuss our appreciation for storytelling in Hip-Hop. Then, the guys give me their picks for the best storytelling rappers in Hip-Hop and why.
We also have “My Melody” by Rakim, and we talk about how Marley Marl wanted Rakim to change up the record when it was first recorded. Norm gives me an example of a time where he was asked to switch up his style. Then we pick our favorite artists that made the switch from Hip-Hop to R&B.
Sidebar ay Camp Lo I'm sorry about that shit I was drinking.
Tune into this week’s episode for these songs, topics, and more!!
