We can all feel the Christmas season continually ramping up in December. Our everyday scenery is changing--the light, the music, the presents, the commercials, the upcoming time off from work and the time with family. In the midst of this, our church has chosen for the past two years to not celebrate Christmas in our weekly worship gatherings until our Christmas Eve Eve service, and in its place, we have celebrated Advent during the rest of the month of December. In this episode, Trevor and Ryan discuss this choice, define what Advent actually is, and talk about how God can use Advent to counterculturally shape us during this highly influential month into people who run to Jesus for their hope and peace. Let us know what you think about the advent season by emailing your thoughts to the email address below!
