Jamie grew up in North Shore Auckland in New Zealand and got into cricket through friends at school although his first love was rugby!
In those formative years he got to see and experience first hand the addictiveness of cricket, appreciate the camraderie and understand the spirit of cricket.
He started coaching aged 17 but then after leaving school found himself detached from the game for what amounted to 13 years before Charlotte his now wife suggested he back involved and since then he has never looked back although they now live in NYC USA and have three children of their own.
