Banke has penned two novels, Always Want More and New Black, stage productions, films, sitcom pilots, and marketing copy for hundreds of companies, organizations, and individuals including the Food Bank of New York City and the Rochester City School District. She served as a facilitator and online correspondent for The Source Magazine and won the 2021 Idea Fund grant administered by the Andy Warhol Foundation. Banke's work was featured in Ebony and Women’s Health magazines and garnered her an invitation to President Barack Obama's White House. Banke is as electrifying on the stage as she is on the page. Her stand-up has been featured on Hulu's Taste the Nation. She’s an NPR Moth Storyslam champion and one of 20 Houston based comics selected to perform in a showcase and audition for Bob Sumner (creator of Def Comedy Jam). She has performed at the Houston & Arlington Improv and countless venues and events across the country.
