Tammy Euliano was leading a successful career as an academic anesthesiologist and medical educator and researcher with several teaching awards and patents. She co-authored an introductory anesthesia text, became director of the anesthesiology residency of 88 residents, rose to full professor... then completely shifted gears and became a fiction author.
