Plain and simple, I should have turned down this interview. I should have done more research and asked tougher questions before giving a resounding "yes!" when presented with the opportunity.

But opportunity is a tough thing to navigate, especially when we are hard-wired to want to be liked, to not cause waves, and to have a seat at the "grown-ups" table in our industry. In today's episode I'm sharing the story in hopes that it encourages you to do your own responsible research before accepting an opportunity that doesn't align with your personal values.
