Marisa Shadrick :Previously, in episode 135, we used an Indiana Jones style adventure to illustrate a customer journey. Our followers adventured through fog and fear to reach the landmark stone and arrive at their destination. But arrival was never the end. It was only the beginning. Stay tuned for this special sequel. From conversion to transformation. Got the solo business blues wearing too many hats? Stay tuned for an episode that understands where you’re at. From burnout to breakthrough.

Marisa Shadrick :We’ll rewrite your story with AI and strategy. Let’s amplify your authority welcome to the Amplify your Authority podcast. I’m your host, Marisa Shadrick, and I’m truly honored that you’re listening to this podcast. This week’s episode builds on episode 135, where we explored the customer journey. Both can be enjoyed individually, but together they tell a more comprehensive marketing story, one that takes you from first connection to lifelong fans. In this episode, we’ll explore what happens after someone buys from you. How do you help them adapt, succeed, and stay long enough to become your biggest advocates? We’re going to focus primarily on group coaching programs and memberships. In this Indiana Jones style episode, I’ll explain how you guide your new clients toward real transformation by keeping the lantern lit as they thrive with their new skill sets.

Marisa Shadrick :Opening scene. You’ve led your heroes through the fog and across the bridge. The last time we met, they reached the landmark stone, the glowing marker that said you’ve arrived. But many forgot that arrival isn’t the end of the story. It’s the beginning of a new one. Beyond the landmark gate lies a new kingdom. It’s vibrant, alive and full of possibility. The air smells different.

Marisa Shadrick :The streets hum with energy. But as your heroes step into this new land, they quickly realize it’s not as simple as they imagined. There’s a new language to learn, new habits to develop, new decisions to make, and new challenges to face. And as their guide, your role hasn’t ended either. It’s just the beginning. Your role as the guide is to prepare and strengthen them with strategic pillars, foundations that hold them up when the journey tests their resilience. Each pillar represents a challenge for the hero and a responsibility for the guide. Together, they create a framework for success inside the kingdom.

Marisa Shadrick :Here’s an Overview of the five 1. The new language helping them understand the world they’ve entered. 2. The rules of the realm, showing them the traditions that keep the kingdom thriving. 3. Making informed decisions. Guiding them to choose the right path forward. Finding allies.

Marisa Shadrick :Connecting them with others who are sharing a similar purpose. Number five. Weathering the Storms preparing them for inevitable challenges ahead. Now let’s explore each one separately. The New language the marketplace is alive with chatter. Merchants call out strange words, acronyms, abbreviations and insider slang. The newcomers exchange puzzled looks. It’s exciting but confusing.

Marisa Shadrick :That’s what happens when someone joins a group coaching program or a membership. They enter a new world full of tools, terms, shortcuts, DMs, KPIs, funnels, automations and AI prompts. And it could be like a foreign tongue. Checkpoint for the Guide Translate, simplify and teach the dialect of your world. Create quick wins that builds confidence. A simple glossary, a walkthrough, a cheat sheet can turn confusion into competence. When your members feel fluent, they feel capable. The Rules of the Realm A steward steps forward, handing the heroes a parchment of instructions.

Marisa Shadrick :It lists the traditions of the realm, when to gather, how to trade, key features of the realm, where to find things, and how to contribute. It helps them navigate in this new world inside a membership or group coaching program. These aren’t laws. These are the guidelines or instructions that keep the community thriving. Meeting times Feedback channels, progress. Checkpoints. Without them, confusion reigns. Checkpoint for the Guide Clarity breeds confidence.

Marisa Shadrick :Repetition builds trust. Help members understand how the world works, where to find things, when to show up, and how to succeed. When the rules are clear, people engage. Three Making Informed decisions A hero stands at a crossroads. A path stretches toward the mountains, another toward the forest, and another to the sea. Each glows with promise. But which one leads to the life they truly want? That’s how new members feel when they start building momentum. There are so many options, so many decisions to be made.

Marisa Shadrick :Build a course. Grow community. Automate systems. Pick a social media platform. Hire help. Every decision feels important, and paralysis can creep in. Checkpoint for the Guide Offer frameworks, a success path, and even a mini course to guide your heroes toward wise choices. Encourage focus over frenzy.

Marisa Shadrick :Help them sequence their steps. Where to start, what to delay, what to delegate. Making informed decisions turns wandering into progress. Number four Finding allies. As the hero travels, they meet others on a similar quest. Builders, storytellers, healers. Around the campfire. They share stories, ideas, and laughter.

Marisa Shadrick :Suddenly, the journey feels lighter. That is the power of community. In a group coaching program or a membership. Isolation fades when people find allies, others who understand their fears, challenges, and share their dreams. Together they grow faster, braver, stronger. Checkpoint for the Guide Foster genuine connections. Create spaces for collaboration, accountability, and encouragement. Collaboration isn’t just a nice to have.

Marisa Shadrick :It’s a catalyst for transformation. We are better together, better when we can collaborate with people walking a similar path who understand the emotions, the doubts, and can celebrate the victories with you. Number five Weathering the Storms Dark clouds gather, a storm rolls in. Rain floods the paths, winds scatter maps and strange beasts stir in the woods. Some heroes panic, others remember their training and press on. In a world of business, storms come too. Tech fails, launch flops, dips in motivation, comparison burnout. These moments test the hero’s resolve.

Marisa Shadrick :Checkpoint for the guide Teach resilience. Remind them that storms don’t signal failure. They forge strength, provide tools for recovery and renewal. Share your own stories of endurance. Guides who show vulnerability build trust, build and endurance CLOSING SCENE the sun sets over the kingdom as drums echo through the courtyards. Lanterns glow from every window and the heroes gather in the great hall for a celebration. Music swells, laughter fills the air, and banners wave in the torchlight. They’ve overcome trials, faced uncertainty, and grown into something greater than they imagined.

Marisa Shadrick :The kingdom thrives because you’ve prepared them for this moment. The real reward isn’t success or the treasures they found, it’s the transformation they’ve experienced. Your heroes stand tall. Lanterns now in their own hands, they are no longer travelers following your path. They are heroes charting their own. When someone joins your group coaching program or membership, the sale isn’t the finale. It’s the prologue to a new chapter of growth. Your ongoing support turns knowledge into mastery and clients into lifelong fans.

Marisa Shadrick :This is the complete story from customer journey to customer transformation. Keep building the pillars and keep the lantern lit. This is how we make a difference online. If you’ve enjoyed this very different podcast episode, I’d love to love it if you’d leave a rating and review. And I hope you’ve enjoyed this story. In episode 135 and 136, where we talk about the customer journey and also what happens when they become clients and how we create advocates. So until next time, take care.
