Episode 138 - My Octopus Teacher
To quote the lizard guy in that band "Aerholesmith" we're BAAAAAAACK IN THE SADDLE AGAAAAIIINNN!!! The Documenteers has officially returned and we're excited to sexualize some cephalopods! Not too much sexualization, actually, but Bob and Angela ARE back and they're discussing the winner of the 2021 Academy Award for best Documentary and it's called "My Octopus Teacher" by Pippa Ehrlich & James Reed. Some guy connects really hard to a young Octopus off of the southern coast of South Africa. It's Trials of Life wrapped up in a guy's feelings. Plenty of interesting nature stuff and a guy that loves to wake this Octopus up and make him hang out.
The new Documenteers is also here to flex on some fools and call out some other podcasts that attempted to fill the gigantic vacuum that we left behind this past year after we stopped doing the show. It's time to reestablish us as the greatest documentary themed podcast in the universe. Woe to any who stand in our way!
