Ramon Martinez, SFC (ret), Army Combat Engineer, Scout Master, Scouting America Ranger, Just a MAN! Here are a few words from Ramon:::::::-Never forget that it takes very little to live a fulfilled and happy life-Valentines is one of my favorite holidays along with Halloween and Easter. All three allow you to love. Valentines, obvious, Halloween allows you to be weird, Easter is an amazing time for family without the pressure of tons of gifts or giant feasts, even though I like to throw one bigger than Thanksgiving,And of course the season of lent, which starts this coming week. I never give anything up for lent instead I do something new or do things new to the family. Additionally I don't Eat meat the entire 40 days. I call it my annual rest. Then on Easter I try and eat at least 4 animals maybe 5. What are you doing for lent? This year we started a new tradition where the family joins me in the mountains for Valentines and hikes 5 miles to a spring box, avoids bears, mountain lions, and cows, and help me take about 200lbs of mud out of a well! Also I think we may have found petrified or fossilized animal prints in rocks. The hike was so special. It was special. This may not be an annual tradition after this year hahaha. We ended the night with super fat prime ribs from Rim Country BBQ. I recommend it if you haven't been.Have a great week my friends -Being poor is not having to little, it is wanting more. - Seneca Ps.I use my watch pocket on my jeans religiously
