Laura Parra, MPH, CHES, serves as a Community Programs Specialist at the UF Health Cancer Institute’s Office of Community Outreach and Engagement. She earned her Master of Public Health from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. Before joining the Cancer Institute, Laura gained experience working with Federally Qualified Health Centers and the Florida Department of Health, where she strengthened her skills in community health promotion. In her current role, Laura leads community-based cancer education initiatives across North Central Florida. She is deeply passionate about public health and health equity, with a strong commitment to ensuring that everyone—regardless of background or circumstance—has access to quality care, education, and the resources needed to live healthier lives.
