Got the solo business blues? Wearing too many hats? Stay tuned for an episode that understands where you’re at. From burnout to breakthrough, we’ll rewrite your story with AI and strategy. Let’s amplify your authority.
Welcome and setting the toneHello, and welcome to the Amplify Your Authority Podcast. I’m Marisa Shadrick, your host, and I’m honored you’re listening today. I value your time and promise to bring you value in this short episode.
As an AI brand strategist and copywriter, I care deeply about words. Lately, I’ve noticed the language in emails and landing pages is starting to blur together. It’s polished and clear, but it’s all starting to sound the same.
The rise of AI-generated contentHere’s a surprising stat from multiple studies: As of November 2025, over 50% of new articles published online are AI-generated. Back in 2022, before ChatGPT, it was just 5–10%. By 2026, it’s predicted to hit 90%.
If people keep publishing AI-generated content without strong leadership, AI will keep learning from itself—not from you. Some of our best words—like “amplify”—are now overused by AI.
Why generic content doesn’t connectThe pressure to produce content is leading to generic messaging. It’s okay to use AI—but only if you lead it. You must train it to reflect your human DNA.
As solo business owners, we can’t afford to settle for generic. We need AI to think with us, not for us.
The many roles solo business owners juggleMost solo business owners are doing the job of an entire team:
Product and sales strategist
SEO specialist
Copy chief
Content director
Social media manager and designer
This leads to overload and confusion, inconsistent marketing, and missed opportunities.
Stop creating reactive contentOften, we end up creating reactive content instead of strategic content. Let’s stop chasing vanity metrics and start producing content with a clear purpose.
How AI can lighten your loadAI can do the heavy lifting, but it needs leadership. I use AI every day to write content, create podcast jingles, and generate images. But everything originates with me. I lead the AI.
Train AI like Amelia BedeliaThink of AI like Amelia Bedelia—the children’s book character who takes instructions literally. If you say, “dust the furniture,” she’ll add dust to it. That’s how AI behaves. If you’re not specific, it’ll get it wrong.
Edit and optimize to save timeReview your AI output. Grade it. Edit it. You’re the final say. Over time, this process will save you hours each week.
Create an AI support systemStart small. Build your AI team one support role at a time. Whether it’s an AI ghostwriter or a social content assistant, train it well.
Final encouragement and live training invitationIf you want guidance, I’m hosting a free training on November 19th. Register at marisashadrick.com/training. Live attendees will get bonus AI prompt templates.
Final Thoughts: Your voice is your superpower. You don’t have to create more to matter more. You just need clarity, purpose, and the right support. AI can be your ally—but it’s your humanity that leads. Keep showing up with intention, and trust that your message has a place in the noise. The right people are listening.
