Episode 14: Coerced confession… How the public’s dependence on policing and the justice system has led to a false sense of security in society. How many guilty people walk free?

This podcast is authored by students at Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, PA who are enrolled in Criminal Justice and Criminology courses taught by Professor Conrad L. Kanagy. My students have created episodes that address issues relevant to the criminal justice system, often from a critical perspective, which is the one we would expect sociologists to speak from.  The need to do so is past due, and these students are part of a generation that will have to do the hard work of reforming the current system and bringing about a new focus on rehabilitation. I have my own podcast entitled "A Church Dismantled--A Kingdom Restored" that takes a sociological look at the decline of the church in the U.S. and the West in general, but also weaves into the episodes, experiences from his 15 years of ministry as well as his diagnosis of and journey into Parkinson's Disease.
