In Episode 14 titled Echoes Beyond the Ice Nancy and her companions return to the Nexus after a harrowing escape from Blackthorns fortress They charge Nancys compass which reveals their next destination the Whispering Woods a mystical forest filled with dangers and past echoes Upon arrival they discover a forest guardian protecting a fragment of the Tree of Life As they attempt to recover it Blackthorn appears seeking the fragment for himself A confrontation ensues during which Nancy grasps the fragment despite Blackthorns threats She and her friends barely escape back to the Nexus where they place the new fragment alongside the previous one While their bond strengthens Nancy grapples with Blackthorns ominous claims about her fathers true intentions The episode ends with Blackthorn plotting revenge in the Whispering Woods
