EPISODE SUMMARY:

Emotional Intelligence has become essential in the world of business and leadership since Daniel Goleman’s first book with the same title – “Emotional Intelligence” – has been published in 1995. However, the skills requires for Emotional Intelligence are also important for building relationships in general.

I chose to present the subject not based on Daniel Goleman’s work but on the work of Neuro-Link and their “12 Emotional Intelligence Competencies” Assessment and Profile.

Part 1 (Episode 13) offered the foundations, on which Part 2 builds, focusing on The Social, the interpersonal skills of Social Awareness and Social Skills – again each of them with three components and some additional information..

As there is much more to say about Leadership and as not too much is mentioned in this episode, a separate solo episode on Leadership will be offered In the coming weeks.
