Known as Super Ken, Special Effects Makeup Artist Kenneth Calhoun is a true gift to filmmaking.  Inspired early on by Makeup Artist Steve Johnson (The Abyss), Stan Winston (Jurassic Park) and Tom Savini (Friday The 13th), Ken started by testing out makeup at 14 on his now Fiancé and since then has built quite a career.   At Legacy effects, he’s worked on a number of incredible projects such as “The Shape of Water” and “Jurassic World.”  On the Indy side, he’s worked on gems such as  “The Human Centipede III (Final Sequence).”    In this podcast, we discuss the unique challenges he faces on Studio Films as well as really ambitious independent films.  With said this interview is filled with incredible insight and great ideas no matter your budget.   If you’re interested in Special Effects Makeup this one is not to miss!
