This spunky herding dog from Iceland is classified as a popular breed in our rare breed/popular breed pattern. This is Iceland's only native dog breed and has been around from centuries. The Icelandic Sheepdog is a breed that is known for having double dewclaws and being an all purpose working dog, ideally suited for life in Iceland.
