Do you live for you, or do you live by the expectations of others?
Are you willing to have someone else (not you) give you or put you into a identity category?
Is your identity who you are, or what/who you want to be identified as?
True freedom is finding for yourself who you are, what you stand for, and being unapologetic about those standards, morals, values you live by. I don't care about the color of your skin, your ancestral heritage, I can if you're a good person.
We can learn so much from other people and cultures and those facets will define parts and pieces of our personal groundwork, but how we develop as an individual is a personal journey. Don't allow others to tell you who you are, you FIND who you are. Find what's makes you happy, sad, excited, passionate, committed.
