Smart Vehicles and Smart Cities, underpinned by IoT, are making tremendous impacts on our lives and societies – but it doesn’t happen on its own. These are complex systems demanding not just research and innovation in a wide range of technologies but also academic and industry collaboration - and our guest is in the thick of it. We discuss the key challenges at the forefront of research, including the role of machine learning and AI, data acquisition and real-time modeling, and the privacy and security risks. And we get insights into the research conducted at the University of Ottawa’s Smart Connected Vehicle Innovation Center within the Kanata North Technology Park.
