Can kids handle the Gospel? Does it need to be watered or dumbed down? Let's start with what the Bible has to say about this. The Apostle Paul gives some insight into the childhood of his mentee and friend Timothy. Paul shares that from childhood Timothy's adults connected him to God's Word knowing that it gives wisdom for salvation. It wasn't too much for him. The same is true for children today. They can handle the Gospel. They need the Gospel.
"But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus." 2 Timothy 3:14-15
