On July 9th 1996, Lin Russell was walking her two daughters, Megan and Josie, home from a swimming gala in the quiet village of Chillenden in Kent. In broad daylight at 4pm, all three of them were tied to a tree, blindfolded and then viciously attacked with a hammer. Their attacker then walked away and left them for dead. This episode explores the attack that has been dubbed “The Chillenden Murders” and discusses the theory that the wrong man may have been convicted of this violent crime.
