Today we discuss the 2019 Best Picture winner, Parasite, written and directed by Bong Joon-Ho of South Korea. This film was the first foreign language film to take home the most prestigious award, and acted as sort of a launching pad for the future of the Oscars and what types of films are able to win Oscars. Recently, the Academy announced some new diversity guidelines for films to be considered for Best Picture.
