The door closes. Adam and Eve are driven from the garden, and cherubim guard the way back. This episode explores expulsion as mercy disguised as judgment. God sends them out so they won’t eat from the tree of life and live forever in their fallen state. Death becomes the doorway to redemption. And before they leave, God clothes them—garments of skin, the first sacrifice. The way back to Eden is closed. But the way forward to new creation is open.
