This is a special episode extracted from a conversation Frankie, Rachel, and Cheri had while recording the audio version of Frankie's book "The Man, He's Stupid, And The Girl, She's So Bitch." They were in the middle of Chapter 5: A Perfectly Frank Conversation about Spirituality, Vulnerability, Communication and Sex when Cheri explained that when she or her husband want to discuss something that is bothering them they say "I have a request." Rachel did not like the verbiage "I have a request" because it sounds like there is an expectation from me. She asked Frankie what she suggests Rachel do when she wants to bring something up to her husband without tone since her husband perceives when she asks him to do something as nagging him. Frankie explains LANGUAGE is HUGE and you must figure out the best way to communicate with each other. Each of us has a different language style. Frankie also points out the tone is different depending on what we say and how we say it.
