Welcome to the 25th Hour Podcast – where successful business owners talk about the magic of creating a 25th hour every day! We've all been there - your calendar is in great shape. Your to-do list is done. You are in the zone . . . All your balls in the air are being easily juggled. Then....something changes, and suddenly chaos reigns! This podcast will help you learn to up-level your time management strategies so you can get back in control of your day – and make an extra hour, your 25th hour, a reality - every day.

Today’s guest is Frank Byskov. Frank founded Forty4 Financial to help clients plan for their future, while having a positive effect on the world we all live in. Growing up in Denmark, sustainability has always been important to Frank, and it is the foundation for how he works with clients - both regarding personal goals and the wider impact you can have as a member of society.

In this interview, Frank shares his approach to managing time and energy to ensure he’s showing up fully in all the areas of his life. Tune in to learn why true wealth is measured in options and how you can start maximizing yours today.

Time Management Strategies for Success:

  • Blocking Off Time - “I block off time for the things that I need to get done. Whether it's for meetings, family time, whatever it may be, so I can focus. I can be present. Because there's only so much time to go around. You might as well make it count.”
  • Taking Breaks - “ It's kind of segmenting both time and mental capacity. In working, I've made a point to give myself a little break in between so I can come back and be all there.”
  • Distractions - “Whether it’s social media or outreach, I try not to get sucked into the wormhole.  Sometimes I research stuff way too much, so I try to limit that and say, “Okay, I know what I need to know now, I don't need to keep going.”
  • Lists (need to do, like to do . . ) - “I have lists. It’s one of those things I don’t like, but I know they work. I keep lists of “need to do, like to do, eventual”. And some days you just have more bandwidth and you knock out the first two categories, but the next day you just get the “need to do” done.
  • Calendar - “If [tasks] are really important, I put them on my calendar to make sure they get done.”

Here’s how Frank likes to spend his 25th Hour:

  • Business Development - “I take 10  minutes of that [25th hour] and do some extra outreach”
  • Getting Outside - “I like biking, running, and swimming. I do triathlons for fun. Yes, they may be painful, but I do consider that part of the fun.
