Tyler Parker is a Las Vegas native who served eight years in The Navy as an Aviation Structural Mechanic Safety Equipmentman (AME) for 8 years.  He earned a master's degree in Education and after the navy taught with the  Las Vegas Veterans Tribute Career and Technical Academy.  Tyler has since switched from teaching to managing money matters for others.

Tyler is currently working on another Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.  Together he and his wife Penina are raising their son Bronson.

Tyer's interest and passion in programming and finances led to the creation of Merlin.

He continues to serve as his application is a means to "teach finance and computer science to high school kids from all socio-economic backgrounds. Profits from Merlin's stock performance will be used towards funding high-quality teachers at multiples above standard teacher pay, and to create a high quality and original curriculum."(Parker, n.d.)

Tyler has a real perseverance story from living in his car and looking at going down the wrong path to having multiple master's degrees, being an honorable veteran in the community, and creation of Merlin Finance.
