In Episode 140 of the Mr. Wine Guy Podcast, I had the opportunity to sit down with Steve Distler, co-owner and co-proprietor of ARNYCA Cellars out of Napa Valley, California.

Steve was a previous podcast guest in Episode 31 and is part of a four interview lineup where I brought back a few amazing people for a new, fresh conversation as a soft launch for Season 4!

In this episode Steve talks about his life growing up with both parents being born deaf and the advantages that created for him in terms of strength in communication and his personal and professional relationships throughout his life.

Steve talked about how his pursuits of working in the stock market eventually led him to a job at the Italian Wine Merchant in NY where he fell in love with a 1986 Bartollo Mascarello Barolo and caught the bug to pursue wine even further.

Steve talks about his time in Napa Valley starting off as wine ambassador facilitating wine tours and getting promoted to manager, where he would eventually meet his business partner for ARNYCA, Luis Pettinato.

Steve of course talks about ARNYCA, the meaning behind the name, the bottles, and the labels; what it's like to own his own brand along with Luis since 2013; and also what it's like to have his one and only winemaker since the beginning, Mark Davis who I've also had the privilege of interviewing on the podcast back in episode 66.
