Educating teachers, other school personnel, and students about human trafficking is only the beginning.  Using a variety of teaching methods including peer-to-peer education also gets kids involved in the fight. However, increasing awareness alone is not enough. Building a comprehensive continuum of care that addresses the risk factors and supports youth that are at risk or trafficked is the goal of an effective school-based intervention.
