The Trick to Teaching Multi-Syllabic Words -Orton Gillingham Methods

Some vowel teams (ea, ou) generally have one sound. But learn about  the two sounds with the LION Rule. 

Kids have trouble reading when they can't read multisyllabic words. So we teach syllable types. OG training has introduced Zoo Syllable types to help engage students and they are easy to teach! In words following the LION syllable type, each vowel says one sound. (words like diet, client, Leon, cruel, etc). Listen here and learn!

How to Teach The Lion Rule – Orton Gillingham Vowel Team Syllable Type is one of 6 Orton Gillingham syllable types but one of 11 Zoo Animal Syllable types.  Each vowel in the LION syllable does in a different syllable. LI  ON.
